Indeed, that is a good idea, but it is not driver’s points that drive the issue these days (at least until you get eight or more)—it is insurance points. Insurance points determine drive insurance rates. There are a number of ways to reduce the effect of insurance points. A reduction to improper equipment in certain counties (Cabarrus and Rowan do qualify) or a reduction to speeding nine over the limit will be of assistance.
